What I believe in

Many people are probably wonder what exactly the NonPartisan party is, and do we take any stances if we are nonpartisan.  The short answer is that we do take stances on issues.  However, we do not tie ourselves to any particular political dogma and our candidates will have more diverse opinions than you would find in a typical party.  I personally have a wide variety of beliefs that range across the political spectrum.

One of the biggest political issues of the day is the abortion rights issue.  I think that the Supreme Court made a bad decision in reversing Roe vs. Wade.  Roe vs. Wade was a decision that was based on people having the right to make their own medical decisions with their doctor.  I don't feel that the government should have the right to make medical decisions for people regardless of the issue.

Another issue that is important to me is criminal justice reform.  There are many laws that disproportionately affect minorities and I feel we need to get rid of these laws.  For example the failed war on drugs has put away far to many non-violent people and it needs to end.  Some say that this will bring about the end of civilization, but Portugal decriminalized all drugs years ago and has not collapsed yet.
